In 1936, when a devastating tornado tore through Tupelo, everything to the north was destroyed. The Parsonage remained. Untouched. A silent witness to the resilience woven into this city's history.

In 1953, the home found new stewardship, and nearly forty years later, it was acquired by First United Methodist Church to serve as a residence for its clergy — a parsonage in the truest sense. In 1995, a two-car garage was added; today, it lives on as The Carriage House, an elegant and versatile space for gatherings both intimate and grand.

The home welcomed its last full-time residents in 2012. A decade of quiet passed before a new chapter began in 2022, when a meticulous, from-the-ground-up restoration transformed the property — completed in 2023 with uncompromising attention to detail. Among its most striking additions: a sun-drenched courtyard, breathing new life into the estate while honoring every ounce of its original character.

The name The Parsonage is no accident. It speaks to the home's storied past, and to its rare position — nestled within a single block of five historic churches.
